Merlin Download Instructions

Step 1. Download disks 1 and 2 into an appropriate folder (the download folder) on your computer (such as c:\merlin) by clicking on the link. You can create the folder through the download dialog box, or choose to download into an existing folder.

Step 2. Obtain Disk 3 by e-mail. Simply ask for Merlin Disk 3. We'll send it to all registered AltaCom II customers as an e-mail attachment. Unless you purchased direct from us, you will need to provide the serial number off the back of the console. Save it into the download folder the other disks are saved to.

Step 3. Unzip the Disks In Windows 98, 95, NT click Start > Run and Browse to the download folder (or using Windows 3.1 File Manager double click each of these files on your computer). Run (or Click on) each of the files (disk1.exe, disk2.exe and disk3.exe) These files are "self-executing", and will unzip themselves into the files that would come on each disk. They will unzip to c:\merlin unless you choose to unzip them into another folder.

Your computer may not be set up to show file extensions, and in this case you will see the files as disk1, disk2, and disk3. They are program files.

Step 4. Install the Program In Windows 98, 95, NT click Start > Run and Browse to the download folder. Select setup.exe (or a program file shown as disk1). (or using Windows 3.1 File Manager double click setup.exe).
