Weatherstation Readings

For more detailed information visit the Glossary of Weather Monitoring Terms.

Absolute Barometric Pressure

No calibration is needed from track to track, as (unlike a weather forecast) this number is not corrected for elevation. Range 24" - 31.5" Hg (except DH which has an extended range of 17" - 31.5" Hg).

Absolute Humidity

The amount of moisture in the air as a percentage of volume.

Adjusted Altitude

A horsepower correction altitude that relates directly to observed engine performance. This one number is the most useful for Drag Racing Prediction.

ACE Factor

Air Cooled Engine Factor helps Jr. Drag Racers overcome fluctuations in cylinder head temperatures. Available on the Delta ACE only.

Air Density Ratio

Density of the air expressed as percentage. Available on the Delta ACE only.

Density Altitude

Density of the air expressed as a footage. Available on the Alta and AltaCom II only.

Dew Point

The temperature at which the air (if cooled) would reach 100% RH and condensation could occur.

Grains per Pound

Grains of water per Lb of dry air. A quantity of moisture in the air, corrected for pressure and elevation. Not available on the Delta ACE.

Relative Humidity

Percentage of water vapor to the maximum amount that temperature air could hold. Sensor range is 1-100% with 2% accuracy and multi-point calibration.

Temperature

Air temperature in degrees Fahrenheit. The sensor range is 0-125 degrees, 2% accuracy.

Vapor Pressure

This is the part of atmospheric pressure due to the partial pressure of water vapor, and is expressed as inches of mercury. Not available on the Delta ACE.
