PRO Anemometer NEW Features

The WSI-PRO-23 Anemometer is a newly designed anemometer that interfaces with our AltaCom II weatherstation. It features superior wind speed resolution and low threshold in an all-digital magnetically-actuated package.

Compared to its predecessor, the WSI-PRO-23 Anemometer features wind cups which are over 4 times larger in profile, for greater accuracy at slow wind speeds; a fin which is over 3 times larger, for optimum directional response; stainless steel cup-retaining clips, and improved sealed proprietary bearings for lower rotational friction, ease of maintenance, and longer life.

Easy to Install on the AltaCom II Mast

The PRO Anemometer fits onto the AltaCom II's mounting mast and plugs into the Remote Sensor Housing. Drag racers can orient a silver directional mark on the wind sensor so that 0 degrees is always a headwind and 180 degrees is always a tailwind, regardless of travel to different racetracks.

The wind cups, the vane and rotor assembly can all be purchased separately. The vane and rotor assembly are interchangeable with the older style wsi-21

Upgrade Available for Owners of the Old Style Anemometer

• Upgrade Consists of:
• New Vane Assembly
• New Rotor Assembly
• New Cups and the Eprom upgrade

Owners of the older WSI-21 (with smaller cups and smaller fin and old style bearings) can upgrade to the new PRO Anemometer without purchasing a complete new unit. The upgrade requires an eprom change to v. 2.57 in the console for correct anemometer calibration.
